San Luis Obispo, CA DMV Office

Very well organized. I had an appointment and only waited 10 minutes. You're assigned a code. When it's your turn, your code is announced and illuminated on the main board, where it is visible by all. The board also indicates which window to go to for service. I was very impressed.

I don't live in San Luis Obispo any longer, but I grew up here. If I need to do business with the DMV, I will make an appointment for when I know I'm in town because everyone who works here is so nice and efficient. I had an appointment for 9 am this morning, and my problem was solved and I was out the door by 9:02.

Everyone here was super friendly and helpful. Only issue I had was a VIN verification wasn't done correctly, so it had to be done twice. Otherwise, smooth process for getting registration and ID in order. The option to get in line from the DMV website is a life saver and worked well!

I went to the SLO DMV for the second time yesterday, and my experience was just the same as the first. It was an organized process with a friendly staff. I used to dread going to the DMV, but not any more. It was quick and painless.

Despite their infamy for obtuse service, they helped me without sending me back and forth or being annoying at all tbh. They gave me all the paperwork I needed when I came up to them and asked.
